"Material Mural (Cambridge)" is a large scale laser etched image of the interior of Sanders Theater. Commissioned for a Google building in Cambridge, this piece considers the physical volume of a photographic image as architectural, materialized, and unfixed. The laser etching creates a dot matrix patterned surface that plays with and against the unique qualities of each wood panel.

In "Material Mural (Brooklyn)", an image taken at elevation of the voluminous Brooklyn Army Terminal, is translated into laser etched drywall panels. The photographic becomes activated on an architectural scale, while the materialized wall becomes a site of engagement, rather than one of exclusion or apportionment.
