“Untitle (Robert Frank at the threshold)” UV printed aluminum, vinyl covered steel fencing, matte photo print, in powder coated frame, 57”x57”, 2023
This work, the first one seen in the “Counter Monument” exhibition, shares an image I made of Robert Frank in relation to material and visual layers - suggesting a new kind of parallax of time within physical and virtual space.

“Suffering From Realness”, UV printed aluminum, corrugated steel, steel mesh, 72”x120”, 2023
The largest work in the “Counter Monument” show consists of a pair of images of young men grouped around a large bonfire I photographed years ago, with a central Casper David Friedrich-like image of a celebrity found on Instagram.
As a triptych, a continuous visual landscape is generated: one that suggests seduction, masculine alienation, and self-destruction.
