Produced a year before his death, "I'm Not Like Other Guys" scrutinizes the iconography, identity, nostalgia, and tragedy surrounding Michael Jackson.

"Seductive Whiteness", oil on canvas, 36" x 72", 2008
This painting considers MJ as a subject of art historical iconography, and is made of 90 layers of Photoshop, printed onto digital canvas, then sealed and painted over in oil by an artisan. His body is a composite of male and female, and, speaking to his changing racial features and the colonialism of whiteness, where the cherubs touch him, he turns whiter.
