In this series of works, neon is treated as a material that is at once a contour drawing, a dimensional sculpture, and a light based object which shapes the surrounding architecture. Furthermore, it carries a fascinating cultural impact, one that is often definitive yet elusive.

In this work, a traditional Chinese poem, written in an ancient pre-modern script, is made into blue and red neon. As they flash on and off in a sequenced pattern, they suggest both the flashing of police lights, but also commercial signage.
