Memorial to Commuters - New York in 2001

This series was made in the spring of 2001, in my hometown of New York. Where the World Trade Center once stood as a familiar beacon, its presence seems to cast a shadow in this series. Looking back on these images now, they serve both as a memorial for lives lost and for an era defined before the events of 9/11.
